A Pennsylvania professional basketball player, DeAndre Kane, was arrested at Pittsburgh International Airport on Friday after authorities alleged he owed unpaid child support exceeding $100,000.
According to court and law enforcement reports, Kane was arrested while disembarking from a trip from Iceland, where he currently resides and plays for Grindavik, which won the league championship two weeks ago.
Kane, 36, has been wanted since 2023 after neglecting to show up for a family court hearing for unpaid child support. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail and awaits his family court hearing.
The athlete has a notable career playing professional basketball, including stints outside the United States, and has represented teams in several nations since 2014.
