The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado touched down at 4:48pm local time, with storm chaser Ryan Hall sharing a video of the dirt-filled funnel cloud.

Significant damage was reported in Three Rivers, with Menards hit and power outages affecting over 2,200 residents in Calhoun County.

Consumers Energy has issued a statement, pledging to help the community with repairs and assessments.

As officials work to confirm the extent of the damage, fears of multiple fatalities have been raised.
