A passenger who broke the inner window pane of an Air India flight from Chandigarh to Delhi has been referred to the airline's internal committee to decide on a potential no-fly list.
The incident occurred on flight AI1879 on June 7 as the aircraft prepared to land at Delhi's IGI Airport.
Despite warnings from the cabin crew, the passenger continued to damage the inner pane, prompting the cockpit crew to report the matter to security.
After landing safely, the passenger was handed over to security personnel and later detained overnight at the airport.
He escaped from police escort on June 8 but was quickly apprehended by a QRT team and handed back to the police.
The airline has declined to allow him to take a flight to Patna, citing ongoing proceedings.
