Sleuths of the West Bengal CID visited TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee's residence in Kolkata for the second time in 48 hours in connection with a signature forgery case.

The CID team took videos of the premises as part of its investigation and is documenting the area to collect evidence.

Abhishek Banerjee had cited health reasons for not appearing before the CID officers earlier, but the probe agency is progressing with the inquiry according to the law.

The TMC national general secretary was attacked last Saturday while visiting a post-poll violence victim's house, and the CID served a notice to him asking him to appear before it over the probe into the alleged use of forged signatures.
