Militant Chief Held in Manipur, Sent to 4-Day Police Custody

A special court in Imphal remanded Haobijam Dilip Singh, self-styled chairman of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-Taibanganba), to four days of police custody till June 30 in UAPA cases.

Singh was arrested in New Delhi on June 1, 2026, during a joint operation by Delhi police, Manipur police, and central agencies.

He is wanted in over a dozen criminal cases registered under the UAPA and other laws.
