Singer Honey Singh and senior BJP leader Tarun Chugh have joined forces to spread awareness about the dangers of drugs in Punjab ahead of the state assembly elections.
Honey Singh, who has been open about his struggles with addiction, met with Chugh to discuss ways to prevent the youth of Punjab from falling prey to drugs.
Chugh, a native of Amritsar and BJP's national general secretary, praised Honey Singh's inspiring life story, which he believes can be a beacon of hope for the youth of Punjab.
Chugh requested Honey Singh to use his voice and music to inspire the children of Punjab to stay away from drugs, and Honey Singh has pledged to do so.
The BJP is hoping to make a significant impact in Punjab, where it currently has only two MLAs, and is focusing heavily on the state after its success in West Bengal.
