Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's Birth anniversary Celebration at Statue of Unity, Gujarat.

Today, October 31, marks the birthday anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875-1950), affectionately known as the "Iron Man of India." His real name was Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel. He was a prominent activist during India's freedom struggle.

Sardar Patel served as India's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. He was an influential leader who unified the country by merging over more than 500 princely states into the Indian Union.

His active participation in the independence movement and subsequent unification efforts brought the nation together. In recognition of his contributions, October 31 is celebrated as National Unity Day, or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, promoting national integration and unity.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Prime Minister will pay tribute to the Statue of Unity at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat. The event will feature a grand parade by  16 marching contingents from 9 states and 1 UT Police, 4 Central Armed Police Forces, the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and a marching band.

The parade will showcase the following performances:

 

     Hell March Contingent : National Security Guard (NSG).

     Daredevil Show: Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) women and men bikers.

     Indian Martial Arts: BSF.

     Piped Band Show: School children.

     ‘Surya Kiran’ Flypast: Indian Air Force.

This event celebrates the unity and integrity of India, honoring Sardar Patel's legacy as the "Iron Man of India".
