India Gears Up to Celebrate 76th Republic Day: Indian Army to Showcase Its Military Might and Cultural Diversity with Grand Parade on Kartavya Path

The Indian Army is all set to showcase its strength and military might during the 76th Republic Day celebrations on the Kartavya path on January 26th. Briefing the media in New Delhi Major General Sumit Mehta said, the parade will feature a Mounted Column, eight Mechanised Columns, and six Marching Contingents, along with the latest military equipment and technology.

A major attraction of the parade will be the display of the battlefield surveillance system and the DRDO depiction of the Pralay weapon system. The parade will showcase the country's military might with the display of the Bhishma T90 Tank, Nag Missile System, Bajrang light specialist vehicle, Nandighosh Quick Reaction Force Vehicle, Brahmos, Agnibaan, Pinaka, and Akash weapon system.

The marching contingent of the armed forces, Central Armed Police Force, and NCC marching contingent will also participate in the parade. This year, an Indonesian contingent and band will participate in the parade as the chief guest.

The parade will take place on January 26 at 10:30 AM and will continue for 90 minutes. A total of 26 tableaux from various states, union territories, and Union Ministries will present the diversity of the country and cultural inclusiveness during the parade. The tableaux are based on the theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’.
