Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda Launches Scheme to Strengthen Medical Device Industry

Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda launched a new scheme in New Delhi to strengthen the medical device industry. On the launch day Minister Nadda stated that the scheme will be a game-changer and have an immense impact. Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Arunish Chawla, Secretary of Pharmaceuticals, were also present.

The scheme aims to make India self-reliant, with facilities including:

 

     Common Facilities for Medical Device Clusters.

     Capacity Building and Skill Development.

     Scheme to Reduce Import Dependence.

     Clinical Support Program.

     Promotion Scheme for Medical Devices.

According to Arunish Chawla, the scheme has a 500 crore rupee outlay.
