A massive bike rally was organised in Manipur as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026, creating a vibrant display of patriotism and national unity ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
The rally was flagged off by Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal. The Chief Minister also led the rally, which witnessed the participation of thousands of bikers carrying and waving the national flag. State Home Minister K. Govindas Singh, Minister Kh. Loken Singh, MLAs and senior government officials were also present at the event.
Organised by the Manipur Police Department, the rally travelled along National Highway 102, passing through Thoubal and Kakching districts before reaching its final destination at the 8th Battalion Manipur Rifles Campus at Leikun in Chandel district.
The event aimed to take the Har Ghar Tiranga message beyond individual households and bring communities together through a shared expression of national pride. The sight of hundreds of motorcycles moving together with the Tricolour highlighted the spirit of unity and public participation.
Sharing his message on social media, Chief Minister Khemchand Singh described the rally as a high-visibility mobile campaign designed to promote patriotism, unity and greater public participation in Independence Day celebrations.
He said the initiative would help strengthen citizens’ emotional connection with the national flag and serve as a moving symbol of national integration across Manipur’s diverse communities.
The rally concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to patriotism, unity and the progress of the nation.
