The Mountain West Conference is set to bid farewell to Boise State, which is heading to the Pac-12 in 2026. However, the Rebels will have one final chance to beat their long-time nemesis when they face off against the Broncos in the Mountain West title game on Friday. The last time UNLV emerged victorious against Boise State was in 1976, with the Broncos having won 10 consecutive games and 12 of 15 overall in the series. UNLV coach Dan Mullen is focusing on bringing his team its first Mountain West championship, rather than dwelling on the fact that it's a final showdown with Boise State. "We're all in this together, competing for championships," Mullen said. "In college football, only 10 teams will become champions this year, and we're one of them.
