The 2025 Formula 1 season is set for a thrilling conclusion in Abu Dhabi, with Lando Norris on the cusp of claiming the championship title. The British driver, who has been in superb form of late, leads the standings with 408 points, a significant turnaround from his 34-point deficit just six months ago. However, the Australian driver has been in top form, securing pole position and winning the sprint race in Qatar. A crucial pit call mistake cost him the chance to extend his lead, but he remains a strong contender for the title. Max Verstappen, the four-time champion, has staged an incredible comeback after being 104 points behind Piastri in August. Verstappen has finished on the podium in the last nine races, winning five, and is now just 12 points behind Norris. The Dutch driver's resurgence has been fueled by McLaren's mistakes, including a disqualification in Las Vegas and a poor pit call in Qatar. The three-way battle for the title has been a long time coming, with the championship remaining uncertain until the very end. The last two times three drivers went into the final race as contenders, the third-placed driver won the championship.
