Red Bull Racing has announced a major change to its 2026 Formula 1 lineup, with 21-year-old Isack Hadjar set to join Max Verstappen as the team's second driver. Hadjar is currently competing for Red Bull's sister team, Racing Bulls, where he has achieved a 10th-place standing in the World Drivers' Championship ahead of the final Abu Dhabi race. The French driver has shown impressive form this season, earning points in 11 out of 17 races and securing his first-ever podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix in August. In contrast, Yuki Tsunoda, who will be replaced by Hadjar, has struggled to replicate his earlier success, earning points in just eight races this season and falling to 15th in the WDC standings. Tsunoda's relegation from the Red Bull squad means he will no longer have a spot on the F1 grid, a first since 2021. Meanwhile, fellow Red Bull Junior team member Arvid Lindblad will step up to fill Hadjar's Racing Bulls spot in 2026, partnering with Liam Lawson, who will return for a third season with the team. Lawson currently leads the WDC standings, ahead of Tsunoda and Hadjar.
