The AIFF-FIFA talent academy, launched by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, has been banned from participating in the U18 Elite Youth League after being found guilty of age manipulation.
A four-member AIFF disciplinary committee made the decision, citing that the academy fielded more than five players who failed the U16 TW3 bone density test.
The committee's chairperson, Vineet Saran, stated that the academy would be restrained from fielding underage players for the remainder of the season.
The decision comes after Minerva Punjab Academy lodged a complaint against the federation's academy in Bhubaneswar, accusing them of age manipulation.
