A shocking revelation has emerged from recently released documents from the Jeffrey Epstein estate. The convicted child sex offender may have been texting a US Congress member during a 2019 hearing with Donald Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen. The Washington Post reported that Epstein's messages suggest he was watching the February 2019 proceedings in real-time and was in communication with the lawmaker. According to the documents, Epstein appeared to be influencing the lawmaker's questions to Cohen. At one point, Cohen mentioned Rhona Graff, Trump's former executive assistant, in his testimony. Epstein texted the lawmaker, 'Cohen brought up RONA - keeper of the secrets,' to which the lawmaker replied, 'RONA?? Quick I’m up next is that an acronym.' Epstein clarified that 'Thats his assistant.' The Washington Post identified the lawmaker as Democrat Congress member Stacey Plaskett, who represents the US Virgin Islands as its nonvoting delegate in the House. The publication noted that Epstein's messages show he was closely following Plaskett's questioning of Cohen. For instance, Epstein texted 'Are you chewing' a minute after Plaskett appeared to be chewing something on camera. The messages also suggest that Epstein may have influenced Plaskett's questions. After Epstein texted 'Hes opened the door to questions re who are the other henchmen at trump org,' Plaskett replied, 'Yup. Very aware and waiting my turn.' Plaskett then asked Cohen about Trump's associates, which Cohen began to answer before being cut off by Plaskett. Plaskett's office has declined to confirm or deny the lawmaker's communication with Epstein during the hearing. The revelation raises questions about Epstein's influence on the hearing and whether he may have used his communication with Plaskett to shape the questioning of Cohen.
