In response to objections from the Baloch community, the makers of the hit Bollywood film 'Dhurandhar' have made voluntary changes to the movie. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has ratified these changes, allowing the edited version to continue screening in theaters. According to officials from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the changes were made under Rule 31 of the Cinematograph Act, which permits filmmakers to edit a certified movie without altering its core meaning. The changes included muting certain words and lines of dialogue that were deemed offensive. One specific line of dialogue, spoken by Sanjay Dutt's character, mentioned mistrusting a Baloch, sparking objections from the community. The makers of 'Dhurandhar' have chosen not to reveal further details about the changes made to the film. 'Dhurandhar', directed by Aditya Dhar, has been a commercial success, earning over ₹1100 crore worldwide. The film, starring Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, has set a record for the highest-grossing Bollywood film, with a net collection of ₹739 crore in India. A sequel, 'Dhurandhar 2', is set to release in March.
