Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has spoken out against the film industry's tendency to run down successful movies. In an interview with India Today, he praised the success of Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar, a nearly four-hour film that has become the highest-grossing Indian film in a single language. Despite its lengthy runtime, Dhurandhar's popularity has seen audiences flocking to theaters for early morning and late-night shows. Emraan believes that the industry's 'crap mentality' - where people tend to criticize and downplay the success of other films - is counterproductive. He argues that a film's success benefits the industry as a whole, bringing in revenue and boosting morale. Dhurandhar, which features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt, has achieved a remarkable feat with its two-part franchise. The film's marketing strategy and word-of-mouth have contributed significantly to its success. Emraan is set to appear in Neeraj Pandey's Netflix crime drama Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web, a series that delves into the world of smuggling and international trade. The show will begin streaming on January 14 and features a talented ensemble cast.
