Imtiaz Ali is basking in the success of his latest movie Main Vaapas Aaunga, which has gained momentum at the box office thanks to audience love and word-of-mouth promotion.
When asked about comparisons between actors Sharvari and Vedang Raina, Imtiaz dismissed them, saying acting is not a competition.
He praised both actors, saying they formed a great team and that he hasn't seen a better team of co-actors in his career.
Imtiaz also called Main Vaapas Aaunga a 'child of Gadar and Lagaan', citing the film's period and historical themes.
The film, which revolves around the 1947 Partition, is set to cross the ₹50 crore mark in worldwide gross box office collections.
Vedang and Sharvari have expressed gratitude to the audience for their appreciation, with Vedang calling the film 'a film that's changed everything for me'.
