However, a user took offense, citing how Shah Rukh's character was inspired by a real-life hockey player and not a fictional one. Kapil defended himself, claiming his intention was humorous and not meant to disrespect. An advocate also came to his defense, pointing out that Kapil only made a reference to the film.
