Raja Shivaji, the highest-grossing Marathi film ever, is now available to stream on Netflix. The historical action drama, directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh, chronicles the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The film, which also features Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Genelia Deshmukh, opened to mixed reviews but still managed to collect over ₹117 crore at the box office.
Raja Shivaji surpassed Sairat's lifetime worldwide collection to become the highest-grossing Marathi film ever, despite not securing an overseas release.
Riteish Deshmukh expressed his happiness that the film connected with the audience on an emotional level, saying it was a proud moment for him to see families and children watching the film together.
