However, political analyst and Bigg Boss contestant Tehseen Poonawalla has defended the actor, arguing that the expression reflects inner control and psychological resolve. Tehseen took to X to clarify that the moment has been misunderstood, emphasizing that Salman's smile is not casual but rather a sign of calm aggression. He explained that the scene captures the mindset of a trained soldier who has mentally prepared himself for the realities of combat. According to Tehseen, the film's dialogue highlights its underlying philosophy, which sees victory in both winning and sacrificing oneself for one's nation. He further noted that the teaser establishes a worldview where fear has no place. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is a war drama based on the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. The film, which features Salman Khan in the lead role alongside Chitrangada Singh, is set to release on April 17, 2026.
