Tamil Nadu elections 2026 saw numerous Kollywood celebrities casting their votes, with Trisha Krishnan, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, Dhanush, Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, and Keerthy Suresh spotted in Chennai.

Actor Simran, however, took a different approach, urging people to focus on reality and not drama, as she shared a picture of her inked finger on X.

Simran emphasized that voting is not just a right, but a responsibility, and that everyone should come together while exercising their duty.

The Tamil Nadu assembly elections concluded on Thursday, with officials allowing voters to cast their ballots before the deadline.

Early turnout trends showed Tiruppur recording the highest voter participation at 62.97 per cent, while the Nilgiris reported the lowest at 50.42 per cent.

The main battle is shaping up between the ruling Congress and DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance and the BJP-AIADMK coalition, with actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) adding a fresh layer of competition.

The results will be counted on May 4, deciding the next government for the state.
