In 2024, both Swastika and her sister were unable to vote, with the actor losing her voting card and her sister having a card but being unable to cast her ballot. Swastika has taken to social media to share her ordeal, stating that her parents' names are still listed, but hers and her sister's are missing.
The West Bengal polls are currently underway, with the first phase taking place across 152 seats in 16 districts. The Trinamool Congress is seeking reelection, while the BJP is trying to unseat its rival from power.
