The film, which was initially set to release on June 4, will now come out at a later date. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has shifted its release date to June 5, thanks to the delay in Toxic's release.
The makers of Toxic stated that the delay has nothing to do with the shoot status, and that the film is complete. They are currently aligning global distribution and partnerships, and will release the film at a later date.
Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share the news, thanking Yash and Maddock Films for helping to reset the calendar. He announced that Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now release on June 5, making it the first film to hit theaters after the IPL.
