Tripura's Hidden Gem: Mrinal Debbarma's Rise to Fame

Tripura's renowned filmmaker and director Mrinal Debbarma, has achieved a proud moment with his nomination for the prestigious Global Independent International Film Festival of India. His short film, 'Har Ghar Tiranga’. Earned recognition, where he served as director, cinematographer, and writer.

The film's music director is Swkang Debbarma, and the main cast includes Saijakabar Tep Debbarma, Kenyushole Tep Debbarma, Sujay Debbarma, Milton Debbarma and Biswanath Debbarma. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 23, 2024, at Raicharan Pal Lane in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Mrinal Debbarma entered the entertainment world with his film Imang-1 in 2015, followed by  Imang-2 (2017) and Imang-3(2022).

Mrinal Debbarma also owns a production house, Shine Film Production, and a YouTube channel with approximately 2.32 lakh subscribers. He is also a talented singer, having sung 'Khani Kok Nono' for 'Imang 1', which was well-received by the audience.

Apart from his entertainment career, Mrinal Debbarma was previously a government employee and managed his work seamlessly. He also has a philanthropic side, donating to needy individuals from his film income.
