Varun Dhawan's father, filmmaker David Dhawan, has opened up about his son's feelings towards comparisons with Govinda and Salman Khan.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, David revealed that Varun doesn't always appreciate these comparisons, saying 'He doesn't like it sometimes. He tells me, 'Papa aap mujhse kya karate rehte ho (What are you making me do).'
David also shared that Varun likes Salman Khan, Govinda, and Akshay Kumar, and that he tells his son to do his own thing, as people will compare him to successful actors anyway.
Varun has previously reacted to Govinda's statement that he can never be like him, saying that the senior actor was right and that there can't be similarities between people.
David's collaboration with Salman has given hits like Judwaa, Biwi No.1, and Partner, while his partnership with Govinda has produced comedy hits like Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, and Saajan Chale Sasural.
Varun is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which is directed by David and marks their fourth collaboration.
