Peter Alexander is set to leave NBC News after more than two decades, marking a major shift for the network. The 49-year-old host announced his decision on Saturday, thanking viewers and the network. He wants to spend more time with his family.
Alexander posted a message on social media, saying he's grateful for his experience with NBC News and is eager to carve out a better balance between his personal and professional lives.
He's reportedly moving to MS Now, formerly MSNBC, where he'll host a weekday program and lead breaking news coverage throughout the day. Alexander will be replacing Ana Cabrera.
His departure comes amid broader changes following the rebranding of MSNBC into MS NOW after its separation from Comcast into a new entity, Versant.
