As the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has submitted a 22-page report addressing questions about his past work history and disciplinary record.

The report comes after a March report by The Arizona Republic stated that Nanos misrepresented his employment history with the El Paso Police Department.

Nanos responded through his attorney, arguing that his employment history is irrelevant to his current role and that his disciplinary actions, which occurred over four decades ago, do not affect his performance as an elected official.

The board has delayed discussion on the report until May 12 to review it carefully.

The scrutiny follows a lack of major breakthroughs in the Nancy Guthrie case, which has been ongoing since her disappearance on February 1.
