President Donald Trump has stated he has 'no problem' with a Russian oil tanker delivering relief to Cuba, despite a US oil blockade. The tanker, carrying approximately 730,000 barrels of oil, was off the eastern tip of the island on Sunday night and slated to land in Matanzas by Tuesday.

Trump's comments come as the US blockade has had devastating effects on civilians, leaving many desperate due to island-wide blackouts, lack of gasoline, and basic resources. The blockade has crippled hospitals and slashed public transport.

Trump dismissed the idea that allowing the boat to reach Cuba would help Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating 'it doesn't help him.' He added that he would prefer letting the oil in 'because the people need heat and cooling and all of the other things.'
