A wave of panic swept through Ahmedabad on Wednesday as 10 prominent schools received bomb threat emails. The emails, which read 'We will take revenge', prompted a swift response from authorities. Deputy Commissioner of Police Harshad Patel confirmed that 10 schools received the threats and were immediately searched by police teams. While no suspicious material was found, the schools have suspended their afternoon sessions as a precautionary measure. The Ahmedabad police, along with the cybercrime unit, are investigating the origin of the emails. The affected schools include Zydus School, Zebra School, Maharaja Agrasen School, Nirman School, and DAV International School. Parents were notified to collect their children from school premises, which were inspected by security personnel and dog squads. This incident comes amidst a series of bomb threat emails sent to schools across the country, including Delhi, Punjab, and Jalandhar. While the authenticity of these threats is being verified, the Ahmedabad schools' threat is being taken seriously by the authorities. The city police have assured parents that they are doing everything possible to ensure the safety of students and staff.
