Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his warmest wishes to the people of Goa on their Liberation Day, acknowledging the state's long and arduous journey to freedom. In a heartfelt X post, Shah reflected on the past, when Indians needed permission to visit Goa until 1961. He paid tribute to the brave patriots who fought against this rule, including Prabhakar Vaidya, Bala Raya Mapari, Nanaji Deshmukh, and Jagannath Rao Joshi, who ultimately made the ultimate sacrifice for Goa's liberation. Shah expressed his deep gratitude towards these heroes, saying their unwavering dedication and courage paved the way for Goa's integration into India. In a separate tribute, Shah honored the revolutionaries of the Kakori Train Action, including Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, and Roshan Singh, on their martyrdom day. Shah acknowledged that their bold action not only shook the foundations of British rule but also inspired a new wave of courage and valour in the freedom struggle. The home minister emphasized that these freedom fighters embodied the spirit of resistance and selflessness, realizing that India's resources and goods rightfully belonged to its people.
