Andhra Pradesh Leaders Spread Joy on Sankranthi, Wish for Prosperity and Unity

In a display of unity and festive spirit, Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy extended Sankranthi greetings to the people of the state. This traditional harvest festival marks the Sun's transition into the Capricorn zodiac, and is a significant part of Andhra Pradesh's cultural heritage. Nazeer expressed his heartfelt greetings to the people, highlighting the festival's ability to revive memories of age-old traditions and bring communities together. He hoped that Sankranthi inspires love, affection, amity, and brotherhood among the people. Naidu, in his greetings, wished for the happiness of farmers and the hardworking, and assured that the government would act responsibly to achieve inclusive development. He also expressed his hopes for villages to flourish with abundant crops. Jagan, in his message, emphasized the importance of Sankranthi in bringing joy, prosperity, and affection towards livestock. He wished health, joy, and prosperity to families, and conveyed greetings to Telugu people across the world. The festival of Sankranthi is celebrated with traditional festivities such as Bhogi bonfires, colourful rangoli, and family gatherings. It marks gratitude to the Sun God, agrarian prosperity, and the state's deep-rooted cultural traditions. Tirumala witnessed a heavy footfall of devotees on Sankranthi, who thronged the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple with devotional chants and festive spiritual fervour. The festival brings communities together, fostering a spirit of harvest with devotion, harmony, and festive cheer.
