In a shocking incident, the manager of a Bareilly hotel and two others were arrested for allegedly assaulting police officers who were trying to enforce noise pollution rules during a New Year's Eve party. According to police, the Sobti Continental Hotel was hosting a party that continued beyond the stipulated time, with music and alcohol serving well into the early hours of January 1. When police officers arrived to shut down the music, they were met with resistance from the hotel management, including the manager, Masi Alam, and Raghav Kapoor, a relative of the owner. The police officers, Sub-Inspector Saurabh Tomar and Head Constable Sabir Ali, were allegedly abused, blocked from carrying out their duties, and even attacked by the hotel authorities. The situation escalated to the point where the police had to call for reinforcements. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Anurag Arya, has ordered an immediate arrest of all those involved, and Alam, Kumar, and Kapoor were taken into custody on Thursday. The incident has raised concerns about the lack of enforcement of noise pollution rules and the need for stricter regulations to prevent such incidents in the future. The police have booked the three arrested men under charges of attempted murder, assault, and other sections of the law.
