Bengaluru Horrific Robbery: 4 Engineering Students Held Hostage, ₹1.5 Lakh Stolen

In a shocking incident near Bengaluru, four engineering students were allegedly held captive and robbed of ₹1.5 lakh after being intercepted by a gang of men on December 21. The students, all from a private college in Bagalur, had stopped at a popular food joint for an early morning biryani and were returning on two-wheelers when the incident occurred. The assailants, who were waiting near a toll plaza, thrashed the students, took their mobile phones and vehicles, and took them to a nearby shed. The gang allegedly stole ₹40,000 in cash and transferred ₹1.10 lakh from the students' bank accounts. However, the students were eventually released and their vehicles were returned. One of the accused has been arrested, and the police are working to apprehend the remaining suspects. A case has been registered under sections related to kidnapping and dacoity, and further investigation is underway.
