The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has urged the Congress government in Karnataka to resolve its leadership crisis before the winter session of the state legislature begins on December 8 in Belagavi. State BJP chief B Y Vijayendra expressed concerns that the ongoing internal power struggle would hinder the government's ability to address pressing issues affecting farmers and residents across the state. Vijayendra argued that the ruling party's focus on internal competition instead of legislative work would render the upcoming session ineffective. He emphasized the need for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to resolve the leadership question before the session begins. The BJP leader also criticized the government's handling of rural distress, citing the failure to address concerns of sugarcane and maize farmers. Meanwhile, Opposition leader R Ashoka stated that the government's internal issues are becoming increasingly visible and predicted its downfall. The Congress government has been embroiled in a leadership dispute, with several party leaders vying for the top position. The situation has been described as 'chaotic' by some, with senior officials failing to visit affected districts and address the concerns of farmers. With the winter session approaching, the BJP is urging the government to come prepared or consider postponing the session. The opposition party also questioned the overall stability of the government, citing the lack of effective leadership and the ongoing power struggle within the ruling party.
