BJP Reports ₹37,745.82 Cr Expenditure in 2024-25: Party's Audited Statement Reveals Key Spending Trends

In a recent audit report, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has revealed its financial details for the year 2024-25. The party's total expenditure stood at ₹37,745.82 crore, with a significant portion of ₹17,540.66 crore allocated for election and general propaganda. According to the report, the BJP's total income for the year was ₹67,691.49 crore, a notable increase from ₹43,404.73 crore in the previous year. Voluntary contributions remained the primary source of funds, amounting to ₹61,248.58 crore, with ₹16,856.26 crore received through electoral bonds. Interest earned on bank deposits increased to ₹6,340.97 crore, up from ₹3,690.33 crore in 2023-24. The party also saw a rise in fee and subscription income, including membership and delegate fees, to ₹5.70 crore. The BJP's total expenditure for the year was up from ₹22,116.99 crore in 2023-24, with electronic media spending accounting for ₹11,249.61 crore and advertising expenses totaling ₹897.42 crore. The party also spent ₹583.08 crore on traveling. Notably, the BJP reported a surplus of ₹29,945.67 crore for 2024-25, a significant increase from the previous year's surplus of ₹21,287.77 crore. The surplus has been carried over to the party's general fund.
