Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) landslide victory in the Bihar polls was a resounding rejection of infiltrators in the country. Speaking at the BSF Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Bhuj, Gujarat, Shah stated that citizens will never back parties that support illegal immigrants. Shah highlighted that some political parties are opposing the Election Commission's SIR (special intensive revision) process, which aims to "purify" the voters' list by removing names of infiltrators. The opposition has argued that this move could disenfranchise thousands of voters. "The SIR is a crucial step towards securing and purifying India's democracy," Shah emphasized. "Every citizen should support this process, and those parties that protect infiltrators should know that the people of this country will never back their intentions.
