A 25-year-old Indian-origin man has been detained by Canadian authorities after multiple women working in healthcare facilities in Mississauga came forward with complaints. According to Peel Regional Police, the man, identified as Vaibhav, allegedly exposed himself to female medical professionals, including doctors, during repeated visits to various clinics. Investigators claim that Vaibhav visited several medical centres over a few months in 2025, feigning health problems and using fake names to initiate inappropriate interactions with female physicians. He sometimes introduced himself as 'Akashdeep Singh' while pretending to have medical issues. Vaibhav was taken into custody on December 4 and is currently being held while awaiting a bail decision. He faces charges including committing an indecent act in a public setting, identity fraud, and identity theft. Police believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
