This weekend, Chennai has a plethora of exciting events lined up for its residents. Starting with the 'I'm Not a Robot' exhibition at Espace, Alliance Française of Madras, visitors can explore a collection of mixed-media artworks and installations by V. This one-night-only experience promises observational comedy and irreverent hot takes. For history buffs, a walk along Cathedral Road, starting from C.S.I. St. George's Cathedral, offers a closer look at the landmarks in the neighborhood. The walk, which includes a breakfast option, will take participants through the Chola Sheraton and a bungalow where Mahatma Gandhi once made plans for his Satyagraha. On Sunday, a walk titled 'The Six Pillars of the Esplanade' will start outside Dare House, exploring the history behind the British security measures in the 1770s. The walk, led by historian Sriram V., will end with a hot Chennai-style breakfast. The city also has an open mic event, LIT.MIC VOL. 2, at IDAM - The Art & Cultural Space, Kodambakkam, where poets, storytellers, musicians, and stand-up comedians can showcase their talents. Lastly, art enthusiasts can join a heritage walk at the National Art Gallery, Government Museum, Egmore, led by architect Asmita Atreya, which will contextualize the art in their historical backgrounds.
