A 49-year-old Chinese national, Liu Qunjing, has been arrested by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at the Rupaidiha checkpost on the India-Nepal border in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly entering India without valid documents. According to officials, Qunjing, a resident of China's Hunan province, was videographing sensitive border areas after crossing into India from Nepal on November 24. He was found with Pakistani, Chinese, and Nepalese currencies, and three mobile phones containing videos of several sensitive locations in Indian territory. A map of Nepal, written entirely in English, was also discovered on him. However, Qunjing claimed to have no knowledge of English or Hindi, sparking suspicions among security agencies. Investigations revealed that Qunjing had traveled to Pakistan, where he had a valid visa, but had entered India without proper documentation. His activities have raised concerns, and he has been handed over to the police, who have registered a case under the Foreigners Act. The SSB, police, and other security agencies are continuing to interrogate Qunjing with the help of an interpreter.
