In a bid to strengthen security at India's Parliament House Complex, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has introduced a revised posting policy. Key changes include extending the tenure of personnel from three to four years, with the possibility of an additional year of service, provided they meet eligibility criteria. This move aims to maintain continuity while ensuring operational freshness. A fixed proportion of the sanctioned strength will be rotated annually to inject new blood into the force. The updated policy also lays down explicit eligibility norms for personnel, including a clean service record, medical fitness, and completion of specialized courses. A multi-stage screening process, including psychological assessment and security clearance, will be mandatory for all personnel deployed at PHC. The CISF has also emphasized continuous professional training and preparedness. Personnel deployed at PHC will undergo regular on-site and off-site training sessions, including scenario-based mock drills simulating various threats. The force has conducted 12 multi-agency mock drills this year and undertakes monthly surprise drills to assess real-time preparedness. With the revised posting norms and enhanced training measures, the CISF is committed to maintaining the highest standards of security at the Parliament House Complex. The force has been consistently enhancing its capabilities to counter emerging threats, with specialized training modules focused on drone threats, cybersecurity, and CBRN response.
