CRPF Bolsters Security Around Dal Lake as Republic Day Preparations Kick Off

As Republic Day celebrations near, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has stepped up security measures near Dal Lake in Jammu and Kashmir. Sniffer dogs have been deployed to enhance safety ahead of the 77th Republic Day parade on January 26. Meanwhile, rehearsals are underway at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, marking the final preparations for the national celebrations. The Ministry of Defence announced that ticket sales for the Republic Day Parade, the Full Dress Rehearsal of Beating Retreat, and the main Beating Retreat ceremony started on January 5. Tickets for these events can be purchased daily from 9 am until the quota is exhausted. The sale of tickets will continue until January 14. The ticket prices are as follows: ₹20 for the Republic Day Parade and the Full Dress Rehearsal of Beating Retreat, and ₹100 for the Beating Retreat ceremony. Offline tickets are also available at designated counters in Delhi with an original photo identity card. The same ID must be presented at all three events. Offline ticket counters will operate from January 5 to January 14 between 10 am and 1 pm, and again from 2 pm to 5 pm, at six locations: Sena Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Jantar Mantar, Parliament House, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, and Kashmere Gate Metro Station. Republic Day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India, observed annually on January 26.
