Wanted gangster Anmol Bishnoi, brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been sent to the custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for 11 days. He was arrested and deported to India from the US, where he had been evading authorities since 2022. Bishnoi is a key suspect in the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique and faces 22 cases in Rajasthan. Following his arrival in India, Bishnoi was produced at the Patiala House Court, surrounded by heavy security. The NIA had sought a 15-day custody extension but was granted 11 days instead. A statement from the NIA revealed that Bishnoi was involved in terror acts between 2020 and 2023, allegedly working in close coordination with his brother Lawrence and 'terrorist' Goldy Brar. According to the NIA, Bishnoi operated from the US, using his gang associates to run terror syndicates and execute terrorist acts in India. This is the 19th arrest linked to Lawrence Bishnoi's terror syndicate, the NIA said. Anmol Bishnoi had fled India via Nepal and eventually ended up in the US, where he was 'removed' and deported back to India.
