Kashmir's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed concerns over the recent Delhi blast, stating that people from the union territory are being unfairly targeted. Speaking at an event in Kulgam, Abdullah said that the entire population in Kashmir is being viewed with suspicion due to the involvement of a few individuals in the terror attack. The blast, which occurred on November 10 near Red Fort, resulted in the deaths of 10 people and triggered a multi-agency investigation. Abdullah emphasized that the actions of a few individuals should not be attributed to the entire population of Kashmir. He also pointed out that even driving a vehicle with a J&K registration plate in Delhi is now being seen as a crime. Abdullah's comments come after an investigation revealed that the primary suspect, Dr Umar Un Nabi, was involved in a 'white collar' terror module linked to the blast. His friends, Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie and Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather, were also part of the module. The Chief Minister stressed that innocent people should not be unfairly targeted and that every resident of J&K is not a terrorist. He warned that the prevailing atmosphere of fear and prejudice could lead to a decline in economic activity, as parents may be hesitant to send their children outside due to the negative perception. Abdullah's statement is a call to action for fair treatment and an end to the unfair targeting of Kashmiris. He urged that the actions of a few individuals should not be used to condemn an entire community.
