Delhi Police have arrested two members of a gang involved in a high-tech scam, where they replaced high-value electronic gadgets with fake products, leading to a ₹8.5 lakh loss for a local warehouse. The arrested suspects, Umesh (22) and Sunny Kumar (23), were identified after a complaint was filed by the warehouse owner, Sunny Kushwah, alleging that his delivery agent Umesh had stolen several smartwatches and earpods by swapping them with counterfeit items. During interrogation, Umesh revealed that he was paid ₹3,500 per parcel to hand over costly watches during delivery, and then the fake devices were used to cancel the orders. The stolen items were allegedly sent to Bihar, where they were sold to a mobile dealer. Police are working to track down the remaining suspects and recover the stolen devices.
