A 16-year-old student from a prominent Delhi school ended his life in a tragic incident at a metro station in west Delhi. In a note left behind, he accused his teachers and principal of harassment, leading to his demise. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. The victim, a Class 10 student, was still in his school uniform when he was found dead at the metro station. According to the police, a call was made to their control room around 3 pm reporting a boy's fall from a metro station building. When police arrived, the boy was rushed to a private hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. A note recovered from the scene revealed the teenager's alleged mistreatment by his teachers. He expressed his final wish that no student should suffer the same fate and named four teachers who he felt should be held accountable. The boy also apologized to his parents and older brother. The victim's father, a 48-year-old businessman from Karol Bagh, claimed that his son had been subjected to scolding and harassment by teachers over petty issues for the past year. Despite their concerns being raised with the teachers, nothing was done to address the situation. The father alleged that the teachers constantly pressured the boy to perform better academically, despite his repeated assurances that he was trying. He also claimed that the boy's friends had faced similar treatment from the same teachers. The family had planned to transfer the boy to another school after Class 10, but he had agreed to stay until the board exams due to the school's discretion over internal marks. The father alleged that on the day of the incident, the boy collapsed at school, but his teacher dismissed it as a ruse. A case has been registered under section 107 (abetment to suicide) and 3(5) of the BNS at Raja Garden police station. The police will be issuing a notice to the school to share CCTV footage of the incidents mentioned in the note. The teachers named in the note will be asked to join the investigation and speak to the boy's friends. The school's senior headmaster was unavailable for comment.
