A gruesome incident has shaken a Delhi neighborhood after a 35-year-old man, Virendra, allegedly killed his live-in partner in a drunken fight at their Chhawla residence. The victim, a 44-year-old woman, was found dead in the car parked outside their house on November 26. According to the police, Virendra and his partner had been living together for two years and had a history of disputes over money. The couple had sold a house in Palam and used the proceeds to purchase a new property in Chhawla, with Virendra's name on the deed. On the night of November 25, the couple had been drinking when an argument erupted. Virendra allegedly pinned the woman to the bed and throttled her with his elbow, killing her. He then called two friends to help him move the body to the car. However, in his intoxicated state, Virendra was unable to drive and returned home, leaving the body in the car. He continued drinking and eventually fell asleep. A neighbor discovered the body and alerted the police, who arrested Virendra at the scene. The police are now searching for Virendra's two associates, who allegedly helped him move the body. The motive behind the crime appears to be a dispute over money, with Virendra having retained an additional ₹21 lakh from the sale of the Palam house.
