{ "title": "Fake Doctor Busted in Transnational Kidney Racket; Probe Unravels Web of Exploitation", "article": "A shocking case of a fake doctor has come to light in Maharashtra, with the arrest of Krishna, a 38-year-old man from Solapur who posed as a medical professional. The investigation, led by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), has revealed that Krishna allegedly facilitated the sale of kidneys of at least 10-12 people to hospitals in Cambodia, earning a commission for each transaction. The probe began after Roshan Kude, a farmer from Chandrapur, approached the police alleging that he was coerced into selling his kidney in Cambodia to repay a massive loan of ₹74 lakh. Kude had initially borrowed ₹1 lakh from local moneylenders but was forced to sell his kidney due to exorbitant interest rates. According to the police, Krishna, whose real name is Mallesh, was once a victim himself, selling his kidney in 2018 due to financial distress. He later turned into an agent for the kidney racket, using a fake identity to lure victims into the trap. Using SIM card data, the SIT tracked down Krishna and arrested him from Solapur. Further investigation revealed that he had been operating the racket for years, earning a commission of ₹1 lakh per victim. The accused is currently being questioned to determine the extent of his involvement in the racket. The SIT has already arrested five moneylenders and is searching for one more, who is absconding. The case highlights the seriousness of the issue and the need for a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice."
