AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has condemned the Ghaziabad police for a viral video showing an officer using a device to allegedly test a man's nationality. The incident has sparked outrage, with Owaisi labeling it a clear example of hatred and communal bias. According to reports, the video shows a senior police officer in Ghaziabad placing a device on the back of a man and declaring that he was from Bangladesh. The police later claimed the incident occurred during a routine area domination exercise in a slum cluster. However, Owaisi took to social media to express his concerns, suggesting that the device should be used to check the officer's own brain activity. He also highlighted that the man, Muhammad Sadiq, is from Araria in Bihar. The police have ordered an inquiry into the incident, which took place on December 23. According to officials, the area domination exercise was part of routine security measures ahead of Christmas and New Year. The affected family has alleged that police personnel attempted to intimidate them by claiming they were Bangladeshi. The family has produced documents to prove their identity, but the police remained unconvinced. The incident has raised concerns about police behavior and the potential for communal bias. The Ghaziabad police have maintained that the exercise was routine, but the controversy has sparked widespread debate about the need for greater accountability and transparency in law enforcement.
