Panaji, Goa - In a bid to tap into the lucrative Gulf tourism market, the Goa Tourism Department is set to host a roadshow in Bahrain on November 23. The initiative aims to strengthen trade partnerships and promote year-round travel to Goa, showcasing the state's unique blend of culture and contemporary tourism offerings. According to State Tourism Minister Rohan A Khaunte, Goa is positioning itself as a global destination that caters to diverse traveller needs. The government is launching dedicated campaigns to promote adventure, tranquility, and wellness experiences. State Tourism Director Kedar Naik highlighted the importance of the Bahrain engagement, stating that it will help expand Goa's visibility across the Gulf region. 'Travellers from this region appreciate quality, diversity, and authenticity, values that Goa proudly offers,' he said. During the roadshow, the Goa Tourism Department will unveil its updated strategies and integrate emerging global travel trends into the state's tourism blueprint. These trends include Nocto Tourism, which focuses on Goa's nightlife offerings, and 'CalmCation', a wellness retreat experience. The 'Jet-Setting' trend will highlight Goa's growing cinematic footprint, positioning the state as a sought-after cinematic tourism hub. The roadshow is a significant step in promoting Goa's tourism industry and increasing its global appeal.
